Barb Smith is an award winning wildlife photographer. she was born and raised in the high mountain plateau country of Southwestern Wyoming. She has always loved the outdoors and all of Mother Natures creatures. She prides herself on being what she calls an ethical wildlife photographer. She works for their protection and in her work is most concerned with the welfare of her subject and not just "getting the shot".  She now lives in the Flathead Valley of Montana and is accompanied on all her photo safaris by her constant companions ( and models) English Springer Spaniels Sage and Bison, as she continues on her quest for unique, spectacular and dramatic photos. Preserving them for all to enjoy.

Born in Wyoming but an eternal lover of the Great Northwest, She has traveled extensively in Alaska, Northwestern Canada, The Yukon Territory, Washington, Oregon and Montana, plus sojourns to Central America, Australia, New Zealand and Italy. Now residing in her favorite spot in the world, the Flathead Valley of Montana, she continues her search of exotic flora and fauna to photograph and to add to her 30 year collection
